ECOSYL offers an environmentally friendly way to improve the silage production process. Adding ECOSYL helps to produce high quality silage quickly and safely and works on a wide range of silage-making crops including:

  • Alfalfa haylage
  • Whole plant corn
  • High moisture corn grain
  • Grass
  • Sorghum
  • Small grain cereals

ECOSYL is applied to the forage and increases the rate and efficiency of fermentation resulting in a more nutritious silage and reduced losses.

Popular with dairy and beef producers worldwide, it can be bought as a water soluble powder and applied as a liquid, or as dry granules and applied through a dry applicator. ECOSYL is effective when used on most forage crops including alfalfa haylage, whole plant corn, high moisture corn grain, grass, sorghum and small grain cereals.

ECOSYL OPTIONS & USAGE

ECOSYL Silage Inoculants
  • Available for liquid (50, 200, 400 & 800 tons) or dry (50 tons) application
  • Dry – 50lb bag – apply at 1lb⁄ton
  • Flexible liquid application:
    • Standard Application: Dilute 1 bottle as follows:
      • 50T⁄25gal; 200T⁄100gal; 400T⁄200gal; 800T⁄400gal.
      • Apply at 2 quarts⁄ton
    • Low Volume Application: Mix and apply according to the usage instructions for the specific low volume applicator, e.g. for application at 1.28oz⁄ton, dilute a 400T bottle in 4 gallons
  • Liquid tank mixes remain stable for 2 days at ambient temperature. The concentrated low volume tank mix can also be refrigerated (40°F) for an additional 5 days without loss of bacterial viability
  • Unopened bottles or bags can be stored for up to 3 years at 70°F
